The Advice Bit

Financial planning gets talked about in terms of big moments — selling a business, retiring, leaving something behind. What gets mentioned less is the engine underneath: the pensions, ISAs, protection policies, and tax wrappers that actually make those moments possible.

We look after both. Here is a plain-English summary of what that means in practice.

Our advice areas

Pensions

Workplace pensions, SIPPs, pension consolidation, retirement income strategies, and drawdown planning. We do not advise on defined benefit transfers, we will refer any of these cases to our selected specialist partner.

ISAs & investments

Stocks and Shares ISAs, General Investment Accounts (GIAs), and risk-rated investment portfolios. We apply our in-house methodology and select from the whole of market.

Inheritance Tax Planning

With IHT thresholds frozen and DC pension funds entering estates from April 2027, this is no longer a concern only for the very wealthy. We advise on gifting strategies, trusts, Business Property Relief, and Agricultural Property Relief.

Business Owner Planning

Director pension contributions, shareholder protection, Relevant Life policies, and pre-exit planning for business owners approaching a liquidity event. This is a specialism, not a bolt-on.

Tax-Efficient Wrappers

Onshore bonds (ONBs), offshore bonds (OFBs), and UFPLS planning for clients drawing from uncrystallised pension funds. We match the wrapper to the situation — not the other way around.

Legacy and Later Life

Lasting Powers of Attorney referrals, later-life care planning and funding, and intergenerational wealth strategies. Because the question is never just how much you have — it is who benefits, and when.

Life and Critical Illness Cover

Term assurance, whole-of-life, and critical illness policies — designed around what you would actually need, not what is easiest to recommend. We review the whole of the protection market.

Income Protection

What happens to your financial plan if you cannot work for six months? Or two years? We model the gap before we recommend cover, so you are not over-insured or under-insured.

Business Protection

Keyman insurance, shareholder protection agreements, and Relevant Life cover for directors. The policies that protect the enterprise, not just the individual.

We are independent — and that distinction matters.

As an independent firm, we are not restricted to any panel, provider, or product range. We advise across the whole of the market, every time. That is not marketing copy — it is the legal definition of what we are authorised to do, and it means the recommendation you receive is the one we genuinely believe is right for you.

Not sure where to start?

That is exactly the right place to be. Most of our clients come to us knowing they need to do something — just not quite what. Let us help you work that out.
