FAQs
If it’s on your mind, we’re happy to help. Here are the questions we get asked most.
Do you offer independent financial advice?
Yes – we provide genuinely independent financial advice, which means we are not tied to any particular product providers. Our recommendations are entirely based on your personal goals, circumstances, and long-term financial wellbeing. Whether you’re planning for retirement, saving for a home, or managing investments, our guidance is tailored to suit your needs.
Does the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulate you?
We are fully authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This means we operate to the highest professional and ethical standards, giving you confidence that our advice is trustworthy, transparent, and in your best interests.
Can I choose between meeting in person or on a video call?
Certainly. We offer flexible options to suit your preferences. You can meet us in our office or via a secure video call from the comfort of your home. Our approach is designed to make it straightforward and convenient for you to access the advice you need in the way that works best.
Where are face-to-face meetings held?
Our head office is based in Leeds, but we typically hold face-to-face meetings at a location that suits you. If you prefer an office setting, we have access to a range of high-quality meeting spaces through our principal firm, Family Capital Limited.
Do you have parking at your office?
We will make sure any venue chosen for a face-to-face meeting has adequate convenient parking.
How long has Cadence been providing financial advice?
Cadence was established in October 2025, although our financial planners have a minimum of five years of experience advising clients and their families.
Where are you based, and do you work with clients outside your local area?
We are a remote business. Our planners are based in London and Horsham, but our technology-first approach allows us to deliver a great service wherever our clients are based.
Are your advisers/planners Chartered or Certified?
All of our financial planners hold Chartered status, or are actively working towards it and are expected to achieve it within the next two years. Chartered status represents a high level of professional expertise, experience, and ethical standards, giving you confidence that the advice you receive is of the highest quality.
Does your firm hold Chartered status as awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)?
As we are a new firm, we are not permitted to hold Chartered status at firm level for our first three years of trading, but it is our intention to apply for Corporate Chartered status as soon as we are able to do so.
Does your firm hold Accredited status as awarded by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI)?
At present, our firm does not hold Accredited status from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
What makes your firm different from other financial advisers and planners?
- We are focused on providing clarity, control, and confidence with your money – we prioritise your needs and objectives and those of your family rather than trying to sell you products and investments. If it’s not right for you, we won’t do it.
- We use cutting-edge technology to deliver our service to you. We’re entirely paperless, and all our services are delivered via the Cadence Wealth Portal app.
- We’re independent and have no external investors, which means we are free to select the most appropriate solutions from the whole market. We’re not tied to any product provider or investment management company.
- Although Cadence is a new firm, the directors and staff are all hugely experienced, highly qualified, and have lived and breathed financial planning for many years.
