Keith Hare

Managing Director

At work

Keith has spent more than 25 years working with financial planning firms, always with one simple aim: helping people and businesses do well.

Over the years, he’s worked with software providers, product companies, and two consultancy firms. He also played a key role in helping his previous firm grow from a small regional network into a national, all-in-one support business looking after more than 200 advice firms.

At Cadence, Keith brings together everything he’s learned. His focus is on three things: finding the right people and supporting them, making sure clients receive a genuinely first-class service, and helping the business grow in the right way.

While Keith doesn’t look after clients directly, he’s always on hand to support advisers and is happy to join client meetings whenever needed.

In Keith's spare time

Keith is happiest when spending time with his wife, Michelle, and their three children, Cameron, Findlay, and Eva. Music is a big part of his life too; he’s a self-confessed synth nerd with more gear than he cares to admit.

He’s also a keen cyclist and has organised a number of trips with friends and colleagues over the years, including rides in Ibiza and Majorca, several London-to-Paris routes, and a particularly memorable challenge from Paris to Geneva.

Keith passionately believes in the benefit of mentoring and lifelong learning, and has mentored financial planning students at Coventry University for the past eight years.

He’s also a trustee for a small charity, Zambia and Malawi Community Partnership, that helps young people build brighter futures.

Get to know Keith

On an ideal weekend, you can find me…

Chasing children and dogs around the garden, writing a new song, cycling in the Yorkshire hills, and watching a good box set with my wife.

My favourite song to play in the car is…

Rage Against The Machine – ‘Killing in the Name’. Although I have to switch it off before the swear words if the kids are in the car!

If I could be any fictional character, I would be…

Doctor Who or Reacher.

When the dessert menu arrives, I’m looking for…

Sticky toffee pudding.

My favourite holiday destination is…

Pretty much anywhere in Italy (although I’m contractually obliged to say Disney World!).

The three small things that make my day better are…

A large coffee first thing in the morning, a hug from all three kids, and an hour on the bike.
