Alex has worked in technology for more than 20 years, starting as a software engineer before moving into solution architecture. He has worked across many sectors, with the last 15 years in financial services at Benchmark Capital, where he oversaw the Fusion Platform’s technology solution and supported its growth from a few million in AUM to over £20 billion.
At Cadence, Alex oversees the firm’s technology and works closely with its principal firm, Family Capital, to extend the Cadence Wealth Portal with new features that enhance how the business operates. The focus is on automation, adviser efficiency, and improving the digital client experience, enabling advisers to spend more time with clients. Alongside Keith and Craig, Alex continually evaluates new technologies and services to drive ongoing improvement.
Although not typically client-facing, Alex is always available to help with any technical queries they may have.
In Alex's spare time
Alex lives in Brighton with his partner, Kiki, their daughter, Sofia, and their cat, Calina – although they’re hoping to expand soon with a dog.
Music is a big part of Alex’s life. He’s a drummer at heart, having played in a number of bands over the years, and he still loves getting behind the kit whenever he can. He’s also a regular gig-goer, and one of his biggest joys is taking Sofia along too.
Alex is equally at home outdoors, and has joined Keith on several cycling trips across Europe. When not on two wheels, he keeps active with weight training at the gym.
